GMC Denali Road Bike Review

Every four years the Olympics bursts onto our television screens and inspires us to take an interest in sports we probably never know existed or had never thought of watching before the games begun. There are a lot of odd sport included in the event such as dressage and synchronised swimming, but the one event the often inspires the most people to get up and give it a go after every Olympic games is cycling. It must be something about the accessibility of a sport that makes everyone want to give it a go, and with the improved popularity of cycling comes the big question of “which bike is right for me?” This is something you want to get right from the offset, and that is why today we are looking at the GMC Denali Road bike!

So tell me what features it has?

Road bikes are designed to be very light and maneuverable on the road, and coming in at just 35.93 pounds, the GMC is exactly that. This bike is made from aluminum  with a  27 inch frame, and this means that you will have no trouble nipping between the traffic on the roads. The GMC has a 21 speed gear section, and the Shimano derailleur and Shimano Revo makes it easy to change between them quickly and smoothly. Also included within the package are alloy calipers and alloy brake levers. The high performance 700c tires are up to facing any challenge the roads can throw at them too!

Tell me a little more about the positive points

This bike has been designed to be incredibly sturdy and have a great rigidity about it when it is being ridden. It can easily cover huge expanses of ground without fault, and the features that come with the bike mean that it works well for beginners and the more experienced riders too. The brakes are good, the Shimano gears make switching between them no bother at all, and the lightweight frame means you can easily transport it from A to B!

And the negative points too

The GMC takes a little longer than some other bikes to construct, and some customers have said that it took them over an hour and a half all in so please be prepared to be patient when setting it up. The other thing that has been said about this bike is that it is perfectly equipped to deal with the stresses and strains of every day use on the roads, but it is not quite good enough for the hardcore biker, so if that is what your intention is you may want to look elsewhere.

What’s the Conclusion?

If you have been inspired by the cycling and want to get involved in it then this is the perfect bike to start you off. Once you have taken the time to put it together and build it, you will be rewarded with a road bike that will help you eat up the miles and get in shape whilst you do it. On your marks, get set, go…and take a look at the GMC!
